Diego Acosta


Inspired by the beauty of nature, Diego Acosta's passion for photography starts during his studies in biology sciences. After achieve his bachelor degree in Ecuador, his major aim is combine nature, art and photography. 

Since September, 2014 he travel to New York City to start the program in Digital Photography at the School of Visual Arts in order to obtain his Master of Professional Studies. At this moment he is based in this city. 

His work has been published in different media, such as the prestigious Ecuador Travel Magazine. He also collaborates and assists with processing and editing photographs, and photographs plants on special expeditions for the Leafsnap app for iPhone. 


Diego Acosta’s photography has been featured in such publications as The New York Times, The New York Post, and Britain’s Daily Mail, as well as exhibited at New York City’s Flatiron Gallery and the Saint-Paul de Mausoleum in France. Guided by Acosta’s background in the biological sciences, it explores the aesthetic beauty of the natural world in the hope that viewers will better understand the importance of conservation.  A native of Ecuador, Acosta recently earned his Master of Professional Studies in Digital Photography degree from New York’s prestigious School of Visual Arts.
